How is a DJ better than a band?
Our system will sonically surpass any bands performance. We can play any song you wish to hear at a moments notice, at the appropriate volume the way you've heard it before - not the bands interpretation of the song. Our cost is only one-third of what a good band charges and we do not take breaks. Ultimately we give you more music entertainment for your money.

Is the DJ willing to meet with us to discuss our event?
Of course! Please feel free to schedule a consultation with our Events Manager to discuss your event, music preferences, and other questions you may have. Also, please free to fax or email us 24 hours a day.

When will the DJ arrive and is setup/takedown included in your price?
We will arrive anywhere from 1 to 1 ½ hours before the start of your event. We want to be ready to go about 15 minutes ahead of time in case there are any unforeseen problems. You never have to pay for setup/takedown time.

Does the DJ accept requests?
Of course! In fact we welcome them. We may not have every title of the face of the earth but we carry a very large selection. We offer music from the 1940's through today's current hits. When accepting requests from you and your guests, we mix them in with what we know will work.

Can we request types of songs that we do not want played?
We invite you to request song selections to be played or not played at your event. We also offer you the opportunity to direct our DJ to include/not included music suggestions from your guests.

Will the DJ play songs from our
cd's?
If you are ok with the music being played, we have no problem playing music from your cd's or those of your guests. We do ask that you clear any music brought in from requests before it is to be played. We would rather not play anything foul or offensive but this is
your event and you get to make the final decision on what can be played.

How many representatives will be at my event from AZ Productions?
There will be a DJ and an Events Manager. Our Events Manger will be available to meet with you and the other service providers (photographers, videographers, wedding coordinators, caterers, etc.) you've hired during your event to update and change events as needed. The Events Manager also serves as MC/DJ. Also, at times we do use two DJ's and a setup crew if we are running a very large event.

Will the DJ need anything from the hall?
We only require an outlet (110-volt outlet -3 prong grounded) within 25 feet of the setup area and a 6-8 foot banquet table.

Will the DJ be suitably dressed for the occasion?
We always present a professional image. We dress according to the event from Casual to Black Tie.

Does the DJ take breaks?
When you hire AZ Productions for a four-hour show, you get four hours of music. We do not take breaks, and we do not stop the dancing unless there are some activities going on or you request a break. Much unlike bands that need to stop and rest, we can just keep playing straight through your event.

Should we feed the DJ's?
One of our most popular questions! The answer is that it is completely up to you. If you choose to provide a meal for the DJ's, we greatly appreciate it and while the DJ's are dining the music will continuously play.

Is tipping/gratuity expected
by the DJ?
While the entertainment industry is a tipping business, by no means is a
gratuity mandatory. This means you won't see a tip jar on our table. If at the end of the night you feel your DJ has surpassed your expectations and you want to tip him/her, we would accept it as the utmost compliment.

Can the AZ
Productions provide a written contract?
Yes,
we require a signed contract for all events. This protects both
you and AZ Productions from any miscommunication regarding start/end
times, prices, etc.
